Frank Albert Jones, age 78 years, a resident of Location Road, St. George, WV, departed this life Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Cortland Acres at Thomas, WV, with his family by his side.
He was born Saturday, August 30, 1947, at Location, St. George, WV, a son of the late William “Billy” Jones and Bonnie Pifer Jones. On September 28, 1974, at Oakland, MD, he was married to the former Maxine Lee Shipman, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Opey Joe Jones and Frank Theodore Jones, both of Location; two brothers, Henry Jones and companion Janet of St George, and John Jones and companion Audrey of Elkins; two sisters, Jo Ellen Kelley and husband Jerry of Terra Alta and Jean Watermen of Westminster, MD.
Preceding him in death are two brothers, Donnie Jones and Keith Jones, Sr.
He attended the schools of Tucker County. He worked in the coal mines in Kingwood and worked construction. Frank was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed fishing and hunting and his dogs.
