Gail Ruth Ours Jenkins, 87, of Severn, MD died at the home of her son in Parkersburg, WV on 22 March 2017. She was born April 26, 1929 in Elkins, WV to the late Andrew Verner Ours and Ora Mae Kisner.


Gail grew up in Elkins, WV and was a graduate of Elkins High School, Class of 1947.

She is survived by her husband of thirty-three years Alfred C. Jenkins, Jr. of Severn, MD; her daughters, Alana W. Minear (Jim Edwards) of Lakeland, FL and Sherry L. Pollock (Jesse) of Annapolis, MD; her sons, Danny L Wilfong (Joyce) of Parkersburg, WV; David C. Jenkins of FL: five grandchildren, Brandon L. Wilfong (Kim) of Elkins, WV, Kelly Wilfong (Jane) of Parkersburg, WV, Stacey M. Warner (Morgan) of Cary, NC, Caitlin B. Marino (Tony) of Annapolis, MD and Christina D. Willink (Brian) of Clymer, NY; eight great-grandchildren, Carly S. Wilfong, Clara L. Wilfong, Jane E.(Liddy) Wilfong, Elise N. Warner, Zackquel W. Warner, William M. Warner, Lucas D. Willink and Micah W. Willink. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister Iris Nelle Nikiel, brothers, Cecil Kisner and Robert E. Ours, and infant son, David Wilfong. Gail retired from the Crownsville Veteran’s Cemetery at the age of 77 in 2006 with 24 years of service. She was a member of the Glen Burnie United Methodist Church. Graveside services were held Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at Crownsville Veterans Cemetery. The family wishes to thank Amedisys Hospice and Gail’s personal caregivers who sheloved so much; Linda Drake, Becky Gibson, and Kellie Carr. Ecclesiastes 12:6-7 – II Corinthians 5:6-8
