Gary Ray Paugh, age 60 years, a resident of the Holly Meadows Community in Parsons, WV departed this life Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Davis Medical Center at Elkins, WV. He had been in his usual health and death was unexpected.


He was born September 13, 1956 at Oakland, MD, a son of the late Winter Carl and Marceleigh Mae Pritts Paugh.  He was twice married.  First to the former Debra Frances Barnhouse, who survives.  On August 30, 2010 at Parsons, WV, he was married to the former Helen Marie Wilfong, who survives.

Also surviving are one son, Jason Winter Paugh and wife Angela of Coshocton, OH; one step-son, Junior Dale Helmick of New Martinsville; two daughters, Erica Heather Healy and husband Joe of Oakland, MD; Rachel Autumn Ford and husband Leonard of Kitzmiller, MD; one step-daughter, Amber Lee Riggenbach and husband John of New Martinsville, WV; one brother Robert Lee Paugh of MD; four sisters, Lynn Evans and husband Tom, Carla Kitzmiller and husband Danny, Cathy Littlefield and husband Wayne and Lisa Mace and husband Gary; eight grandchildren, Hailey Paugh, Jason Paugh Jr. , Jonas Paugh, Sofie Paugh, Jack Healy, Kiera Warnick, Chase Sphar and Gavin Ford; and several nieces and nephews.

He was a graduate of Southern High School at Oakland, MD with the Class of 1974.  He was a former employee of the Buffalo Coal Company and presently employed with the J.F. Allen Company as an equipment operator.  During his spare time, he enjoyed Woodworking, Metalworking and cooking.  He loved to spend time with his children and grandchildren.
A private family gathering will be held at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV., and cremation will follow.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons, WV is in charge of the arrangements for GARY RAY PAUGH.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
