James C. “Jim”Tabler

James C. “Jim”Tabler, died March 27, 2019.  He was born January 21, 1929 in Parsons, a son of the late Walter D. and Kathern D. Tabler.  He and his family lived in Elkins until 1967 when they moved to North Carolina.  He is survived by his wife Patricia Little Tabler, four children Cindy Sanders, Craig Tabler, Michelle Dietrich and Julia Hollister.  Eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren also survive.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death two sisters, Kathern T. Hoffman and Lee T. Doughtery and a grandson, James Cameron Sanders.  Jim was a World War II Veteran, a Master Mason and an inspiration to many.  Mr. Tabler’s remains were cremated.  A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 9, 2019 at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV.  Masonic graveside rites will be provided by Elkins Lodge No. 108 AF and AM and full military honors will be accorded by the United States Navy Honor Guard, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3647 and the Tucker County Veterans Association.  The Tomblyn Funeral Home of Elkins is in charge of the arrangements for James C. “Jim” Tabler.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.tomblynfuneralhome.com.
