James Howard “Bo” White, Sr., 83, of Davis, WV passed away March 11, 2014 at Cortland Acres, following a period of declining health.
He was born August 7, 1930 in Dry Fork, WV a son of the late Osie and Florence Dietrick White. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Josephine Betty White, who passed January 12, 2009 after which, she was greatly missed by him, one sister, Mary Cousin, and one brother, Carl W. White. He is survived by two sons, James H. White, Jr., Adrian, MI and Terry W. White, Davis, WV, and a very special daughter, Becky Burns, Thomas, WV, five grandchildren, Holly Wholahan, Louisville, KY, Joey White, Pittsburgh, PA, Rachel White, Davis, WV, Jenna White, Adrian, MI, and Caleb Burns, Thomas, WV, one great-granddaughter, Josephine Victoria Wholahan, and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. White was a WWII Army Veteran. He retired from Blackwater Falls State Park where he was employed for 30 years. He will be missed by all. He was a member of FOE 936, and American Legion Post #0022 of Thomas, WV.
Friends were received Thursday, March 13, from 2-8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Friday, March 14, at Hinkle Funeral Home with Rev. Neal Parsons officiating. Interment followed in the Davis Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
