It is with great sadness that we share the passing of James “JD” McClain, who left us on June 2, 2025, at the age of 83. He had been in declining health contributed by cancer.

JD was a man that enjoyed the moments spent with his family and his forever friends. He was an avid sportsman and sports fan and the lover of old Westerns.

JD loved nothing more than being a grandad to Steven Scott Lambruno and wife, Dani, W. Ryan McClain Simmons and wife, Bailey, great grandsons, Rece Logan Lambruno and Jettson James Simmons.

Preceding him in death is one daughter, Cindy Lee McClain.

JD was a graduate from Parsons High School with the Class of 1959.

In 1996, he retired from the West Virginia Forestry Camp for Boys Davis Center.

A Protestant by faith.

A private graveside service was conducted by The Reverend James Snyder on June 5, 2025, at the Parsons City Cemetery.
