Jeffrey “Adam” Barb, age 28 years, a native of Parsons, WV and a resident of the Lazy Run Community, Kerens, WV, departed this life late Friday evening, July 8, 2016 at Kerens, WV, as a result of an automobile accident.
He was born Tuesday, May 17th, 1988 at Elkins, WV, a son of Jeffrey Allan and Anita Marie DeMotto Barb, who survive.
Also surviving are one brother, Hugh Nicholas “Nick” Barb and wife Courtney; Grandparents, Hugh and Maggie DeMotto of Red Creek, WV and Jane H. Barb of Parsons; Aunts and Uncles, Hughie DeMotto of Red Creek, Mike DeMotto and wife Lorrie of Gilman, Sidnee Barb of OH and Riley H. Barb and wife Amy of Canaan Valley, cousins, Bethany Miller and husband Fred, and their daughter Rylee of Alabama, Emily, Jacob, Mikaela and Bretsell DeMotto, all of Elkins, and Charlee Barb of Lost Creek; and two nephews, Luke and Beau Barb, who he adored; and Adam had many great friends that he leaves behind.
Preceding him in death is his Grandfather, Howard Nicholas “Nick” Barb.
He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the class of 2006, where he was a member of the football squad. He received the Darren Moss Award while attending Tucker Valley Middle School, which reflects his selfless attitude for his peers and his teachers. He attended Fairmont State University, and West Virginia University. He graduated with honors Cum Laude from Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with the class of 2011. Adam then joined his family’s funeral home, Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Elkins and Parsons, WV, as a licensed funeral director and embalmer. He was third generation of the funeral home. Adam was known for his smile. He was a beautiful young man, kind, loving, funny, and a very good friend to anyone he came in contact with. We will miss you dearly My Adam, “Dwib”, “Dwiblet”.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons from 4 to 8 PM Thursday. Final Rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor, Friday, July 15, 2016 at 12 Noon. The Reverend J. Michael Lantz will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Jeffrey “Adam” Barb. Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
