Jesse Roy Kisamore, Sr.,

Jesse Roy Kisamore, Sr., 84, a resident of Hambleton passed from this life on Sunday, February 21, 2021, at his home surrounded by his family and under the care of Mountain Hospice.
Jesse was born Wednesday, September 30, 1936, at Davis, the son of the late Elwood and Sylvia Catherine Kisamore. On May 21, 1966, at Leadmine United Methodist Church, he married Wanda Lee Christman Kisamore who survives.

Left to cherish Jesse’s memory besides his wife are two sons, Jesse Roy Kisamore, Jr., and companion, Rita, and Gregory Scott Kisamore and wife, Monica, three grandchildren, Britainey Kisamore and companion, Cody Ball, Jeanna Boyles and husband, Donald, and Tony Parsons and wife, Clarissa, three great grandchildren, Wade Boyles, Logan Boyles and Graysen Ball, three brothers, Lester of Thomas, Paul of Maryland, and Mike of Oklahoma, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Preceding Jesse in death besides his parents was a brother, Ronald.

Jesse attended Tucker County Schools and served in the U.S. Army. He was employed as a coal miner with Island Creek Coal Company/Consol for thirty-three years. Jesse attended Sycamore Grove Church for many years. He enjoyed working word search puzzles, watching westerns and In the Heat of the Night, and required his coffee.

Visitation was held on Thursday, February 25, 2021, from 12 until 1 p.m., the funeral hour. Rev Pat Cassidy officiated, and interment followed at Shaffertown Cemetery where members of the Tucker County Veterans Association, H.W. Daniels Post #29, American Legion, and Tygarts Valley Post #3647, Veterans of Foreign Wars conducted full military honors.
