John Kenneth Williamson, 62, of Thomas, West Virginia passed away at his home on February 25, 2020. He was born January 23, 1958 in Portsmouth, Virginia a son of the late Percy Ray and Iva Judith Vaughan Williamson.

Mr. Williamson is survived by his wife, Patricia Ann Berry Williamson, whom he married on November 9, 1985. He is also survived by two sons, Robert Riley and wife Elaine and Audley John “A.J.” Riley, one daughter, Micki Nelson, one brother, Percy Ray Williamson Jr. and wife Cassandra, two sisters, Sharon Parker and husband David and Karen Lacolst, six grandchildren, Samantha Nelson, Cody Nelson, Ayden Riley, Chloe Riley, Colton Riley, and Stryder Riley, and three great-grandchildren, Aleksandr Atterd, Levi Atterd, and Wyatt Nelson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Cindy White.

John enjoyed fishing and hunting. On rainy days, you could find him playing on the computer, reading outdoor magazines, and watching western movies. After retirement, he enjoyed cooking and he was an avid Civil War enthusiast. He was known as the “Yes Man” to his family as he always told his grandchildren “Yes” when no one else did.

Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Monday, March 2, from 11 a.m.– 1 p.m. with funeral services conducted at 1 p.m. with Rev. Gary Gaunt officiating. Interment followed in the Rose Hill Cemetery. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences may be made to the family at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com
