John P. ‘Juke’ Repetsky age 94, of Richmond Hts. passed away Aug. 27, 2016 at Holy Family Hospice in Parma. Born April 11, 1922 in Henry, WV, to John and Helen (nee Satkeok) Repetsky, he had been a longtime area resident. John served with the U.S. Army during WWII, being stationed at Pearl Harbor, surviving the Japanese attack. After returning home to West Virginia, he worked in the coal mines and met his future wife Ernestine “Tina” Gasser. After their marriage, they relocated to Cleveland and John worked for TRW until his retirement in 1987. He enjoyed sports, playing on a West Virginia soft ball team; and avid golfer, getting a hole in one and serving as a golf ranger at Pine Ridge Country Club; an avid bowler, scoring an almost perfect game at 289. He helped with Boy Scouts when his son was young, enjoyed gardening, spending time with his cat and family. He is survived by his children, Deborah (Byron) Lee of Parma and Dan (Janet) Repetsky of Northfield Center; grandchildren Ariel Lee, MD of Corvallis, OR., and Christopher Repetsky, MD of Northfield Center and extended family. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 49 years, Tina Repetsky; and 12 siblings. Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 at the Burr Funeral Home, 116 South St. (On Rt. 44, 500’ South Of Rt. 6/ Chardon Square), Chardon, OH. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 31 at the funeral home with burial to follow at All Souls. Arrangements by the Burr Funeral Home of Chardon.
