Junior Denver Roy, 88, of Morgantown left this Earth to spend eternity with his Savior on March 21, 2015, with his family by his side. Junior was born in Parsons, WV on August 20, 1926 to the late Denver Lee Roy and Viola Pearl Bodkin Roy.
Junior was a veteran of the United States Army and Navy and served his country during World War II. He retired from the Morgantown Fire Department as Captain after 22 years of service and was a member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, where he served in many capacities, including working as the Building Superintendent for 33 years.
Junior is survived by his loving wife of 64 years, Patricia May Baker Roy; two daughters, Beverly Ann Burns and her husband, Alan, of Ft. Myers, FL, and Jackie Marhefka and her husband, John, of Fairmont; one sister, Joan Liller of Camas, WA; grandchildren Barry Marhefka and his wife, Rebekah, of Kingwood, TX, Russell Curtis Burns, Christopher Alan Burns, and Kelley Burns Wood, all three of Ft. Myers, FL; great-grandchildren Xandor Marhefka, Dominic Marhefka, and Hadley Marhefka, all of Kingwood, TX; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Kisner and Patricia Smith; and five brothers, Hank Roy, Paul Roy, Eddie Roy, Donald Roy, and Wallace Roy.
Friends offered their support to the family at McCulla Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 24, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and on Wednesday, March 25, from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. time of funeral service with the Rev.
