Kathy Craig Hawes, 55 of Hambleton, passed from this life Saturday, December 15, 2018, at her home.

She had been in her usual health and death was unexpected.

Kathy was born on Saturday, September 14, 1963, in Baltimore, Md, a daughter of Donald D. Burruss of Hambleton and the late Mary Lee Helmick Burruss.

Left to cherish Kathy’s memory is her daughter, Misty Bryant and companion, Adam Goss of Parsons, her son, Brandon Bryant and fiancé, Carley Eye of Eglon, one brother, Howard Wymer and wife, Phyllis, of Springfield, two grandchildren, Brayden Goss and Raigan Goss, had been anxiously awaiting the arrival of the third grandchild, Braeley Rose Bryant, and Kathy’s longtime companion, Billy Lipscomb.

Preceding Kathy in death besides her mother were her two brothers, Pat Wymer and Richard Wymer.

Kathy attended the schools of Baltimore and Tucker County. She had worked at Parsons Footwear, WV State Police, and for over twenty years in housekeeping with Canaan Valley. Kathy enjoyed being outside in the sunshine. She loved her family, and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She also loved her dogs. Kathy will be sadly missed.

Visitation was held at the Hostetler Funeral Home on Thursday, December 20, 2018 from 6 to 7 p.m. Kathy’s request for cremation was honored. The Hostetler Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements for Kathy Craig Hawes. Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
