Larry “Manny” Glenn Lipscomb, II

LarryGlennLipscombLarry “Manny” Glenn Lipscomb, II, age 43 years, a resident of Pierce, WV departed this life peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 14, 2015. Death was attributed to accidental asphyxiation.

He was born Thursday, October 7, 1971 at Elkins, WV a son of Larry Glenn Lipscomb and wife Kathy of Friendsville, MD and Darlene Elizabeth Giddens Sisler and husband John of Thomas. On February 15, 2013 at Thomas, WV he was married to the former Kathy Ann Walker, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Darrah Grace Whittaker and husband Blake of Cookeville, TN; three step children, Gary Adams, Jessica Smith, and Forest Walker; one sister, Angela Dawn Inglese and husband Mike of Davis; three step grandchildren, Anna, Lacy, and “Little Man” Noah his pride and joy; his maternal grandfather, Warren Osborne, Sr., and wife Patty of Uniontown, PA; two nieces, Laken, and Laurel Inglese; one uncle, Warren Osborne, Jr. of Uniontown, PA; and two cousins, Destiny and Darren Osborne.

He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the Class of 1989 and worked as a Blaster for Beckley Drilling and Blasting at Beckley, WV. He was a member of the Davis United Methodist Church. He loved to hunt and was a member of the Mt. Top Hunting Club. He was a kind person and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Mr. Lipscomb’s request for cremation was honored. A Celebration of Life service will be conducted on Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 2 PM at the Davis Community Center. The Rev. Shaun Roberts will officiate. At a later date, his cremains will be scattered. The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Larry “Manny” Glenn Lipscomb, II.
