Marcia Lee Quattro, 57, of Davis, passed away Monday, September 23, at home. Death was unexpected. Marcia was born July 6, 1962, in Hampton, VA, the daughter of the late Jeckie Louise Pugh and the late James Monroe Pugh. She married husband James A. Quattro on April 23, 2016.
Surviving are two daughters, Ellen Freeman and partner Chris Reynolds, of Parsons, and Erica Setzer, of Chesapeake, VA; brother Michael Pugh and wife Kelly; nephews Zac Pugh and wife Andie, Dylan Pugh and fiancée Claudia, and Tyler Pugh; nieces Allison Pugh and husband Nathan, and Lisa Lamana and husband Phil; cousins Katherine Keener and Missy Hebb; ten great-nieces and -nephews; aunt Patricia Broadwater and husband Dwight; and many dear friends she considered her family along with many children she loved as her own grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her beloved sister Rita Marie Pugh, aunt Ida Darlene Keener, step-son Christopher Allen Freeman and grandparents Harry Erwin and Ida Ellen Brown.
Marcia was a dedicated member of the community. She worked as the longtime store manager of the Davis BFS, a job she loved because it allowed her to connect with people every day. She was proud to earn her GED later in life. She loved children, volunteering her time, animals, books, magical worlds, and fairies, especially Tinkerbell.
When she wasn’t working, Marcia spent her time caring for others, lending a helping hand, shoulder, or ear to those who needed it. She never met a stranger. Above all, Marcia was kind, compassionate, and loved her family fiercely.
A viewing and service was held at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home in Davis on Monday, September 30, from 5-8 p.m. with a service to follow. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made to assist with funeral expenses.
