Marilyn Lorraine Helmick Clute

Marilyn Lorraine Helmick Clute, age 64 years, a resident of Hambleton, W.Va. departed this life Sunday, August 4, 2013 at her home surrounded by her family.  Death was attributed to cancer.
She was born, Saturday, July 16, 1949 at Parsons, W.Va., a daughter of the late Lester Grant and Iona Virginia Henthorne Helmick.  She was twice married.  First to Raymond Donald Mitchell, who preceded her in death.  On January 11, 1980 at Bull Run, St. George, WV, she was married to Paul Edward Clute, who survives.
Also surviving are two sons, Steve Ray Mitchell and wife Betty of Parsons, Christopher Sean “Peanut” Mitchell and wife Liz of Connellsville, Pa.; one daughter, Donna Alice Boyles and husband John of Parsons; one step daughter, Crystal Gaye Coleman and husband Mike of Summerville, W.Va.; one sister, Carolyn Elaine Shreve of St. George, W.Va.; thirteen grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three step grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are one son, Jeffrey Allen Mitchell;  and one brother, Gary Marshall Helmick.
She attended the schools of Tucker County.  She was a homemaker and interior decorator.   Marilyn was a devoted member of the St. George Church of God of which she was the custodian.  She had a loving and giving heart and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and talking on the telephone.
The family will receive friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m..  On Thursday, August 8, 2013, Mrs. Clute will be moved to the St. George Church of God at St. George, W.Va. where friends may call from Noon until 1 p.m. the funeral hour.  Rev. David Wilmoth and Rev. James Gilbert will officiate and interment will follow at the Parsons City Cemetery.  The Lohr & Barb Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements for Marilyn Lorraine Helmick Clute.  Condolences may be expressed to the family at; www.lohrbarbfuneralhome.com.
