As a traveling nurse she was able to see many different places which played perfectly into her love of travel.
In her personal life, Mary found joy cultivating vibrant plants that reflected her sunny disposition. She created on outdoor oasis where she could relax with her coffee and show off her plants and flowers to her friends, family, and neighbors. She loved dogs and always had one as her best friend beside her side. She will be missed by her Aussie dog, Copper. The beach, usually the Outer Banks, was her happy place where she enjoyed relaxing with her family and watching sunrises. She had an adventurous spirit and loved to travel with her husband Todd taking many cruises and seeing many different parts of the world, including going to Italy to the birth city of her Grandpap Jim Merico. Mary cherished her family above all else and loved each one of them very deeply. She always found an occasion to gather everyone together for a great meal, celebration, and good laughs.
