Maxine Virginia Repetsky, 93, of Kempton, MD passed away peacefully at Tygart Center, Fairmont, WV with her daughter Helen by her side on February 6, 2015.
She was born June 4, 1921 in Kempton, MD a daughter of the late Claude and Gladys Gertrude Davis Corbin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Adam Paul Repetsky in 1976. Also preceding her in death were two daughters, Toni Repetsky and Jeanette Bittinger, five brothers, “Cork”, Cletus, Delmont, Jack and “Put”, two sisters, Wanda Corbin and Thelma Corbin. Survivors include two daughters, Carolyn Sue (Richard) Bird, Marquette, MI, Helen Ann (Joseph) Cavalier, Rivesville, WV, one brother, Bradley Corbin, Kempton, MD, one sister, Carol (Boone) Pase, Thomas, WV, four grandchildren, Sean, Portland, OR, Adam Bird, Cape Coral, FL, Meredith (Craig) Mason, New Martinsville, WV, Matthew Cavalier, Rivesville, WV, two great-grandchildren, Kyle and Laura Mason, one sister-in-law, Malora Corbin and numerous nieces and nephews including, Dave (Ann) Corbin, Tammy (Allen) Hebb, Jeff (Kim) Corbin, Randy (Karen) Corbin, Diane (Jim) Rinehart, Carl (Joan) Corbin, Bill (Sandy) Corbin, Jane (Chris) Scripp, Steve (Carol) Corbin, Sherry (Jim) Bustin, Tony (Marion) Scripp and a very special nephew, Danny Pase, Kempton, MD, and special friends, Mary and Junior Streets, Ilene Evans and Ida Murphy, Kempton, MD.
Maxine was a graduate of Kempton High School , class of 1938. She was employed by Buxton & Landstreet Co. During WWII she was employed at the ballistics plant in Cumberland, MD. She was an avid animal lover, not one of God’s stray creatures passed by her door that was not taken in and cared for. She was a wonderful person and was loved by all who knew her and will be greatly missed. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Marion County Humane Society Old White Rock Rd. Friends were received on Monday Feb. 9 from 4-8 p.m. at Hinkle Funeral Home in Davis. Funeral services were held at Hinkle Funeral Chapel on Tuesday Feb. 10 at 1 p.m. with visitation from 12 noon until 1 p.m. The Rev. Ruth Bullwinkle officiated.
