Norma Lee Shaffer

Norma Lee Shaffer, age 80, of Champion Estates Assisted Living,  went home to be with our Lord on Sunday, September 27, 2020.  Norma was born November 2, 1939 in Warren, Ohio, a daughter of the late Howard D. and Cora E. (Solinger) Sollinger.  Norma was united in marriage to Victor G. Shaffer on June 15, 1963.  They have shared an amazing 57 years together and two daughters, Rhonda L. Shaffer and Kara L. Shaffer-Bailey and special grandson Gary Shaffer who they considered their son.  Five grandchildren: Kayla Yarger, Gary Shaffer, Kevin & wife Jamie Yarger, Kyle Bailey and Ashlyn Bailey. One great grandson Logan Bentley Yarger.  
Norma loved spending time with her grandchildren and often said they were her greatest accomplishment. She enjoyed bingo and sitting at her pond fishing. She recently fulfilled a dream of fishing on Lake Erie.

Norma started a business with her sister in 1977 and became owner of AAA Home and Apartment Rentals,  Norma was loved and respected by many over the years being known as Miss Norma.

Norma previously attended the First Church of God on Parkman Rd in Warren, Ohio.

Norma was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Wanda Elizabeth Sollinger-Rush.

Friends were received at the Wright Funeral Home and Crematory at 220 N. Walnut St. in Philippi, WV on Friday, October 2 from 12-2 p.m. Funeral Services were conducted by Pastor Mike Hopkins at 2 p,m. Interment followed in the Pifer Mountain Cemetery,  Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.wrightfuneralhomeservices.com.
