Olive Mary Sorensen, 85 of Uniontown, PA and formerly of Rowlesburg, WV died Thursday, January 4, 2018 in the Uniontown Hospital with family by her side.
She was born October 15, 1932, in Rowlesburg, a daughter of the late Ira S. and Clara Ellen Lee Phillips.
Olive was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. She was the owner and operator of Mon-Chari Bridal Shop and Sally’s Restaurant.
She is survived by her son, Michael Lee and wife, Karen of Allison, PA; her daughters, Yvonne (Bonnie) Lowe of Smithfield, PA, Zenia Knotts and husband, Brian of Uniontown, Renee Best and husband, Thomas of Oakland, MD, Susan Mell of VA, Nikki Spicer and husband, John of Cobra, MD and Charlotte Hollick and husband, Leonard; her sister, Dessie Runner of Lewisburg, TN; 13 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Kristian Frederick Sorensen in 2013, her brother, Ira Phillips and her sisters, Diana Phillips and Mary Danzic.
Family and friends called at the Browning Funeral Home in Kingwood on Tuesday, January 9 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. where funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at noon with Pastor Ron Hudson officiating.Interment will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery on Lantz Ridge.
