Pat Sagace, 89, of Thomas, WV passed away August 14, 2016 at Cortland Acres. He was born April 28, 1927 a son of the late Anthony and Teresa Sagace. He is survived by his wife, Jean Stuart Sagace, whom he married May 26, 1951. They celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. He is also survived by two daughters, Patricia Helmick and Mary Sagace, one brother, Joe Sagace all of Thomas, WV. He was preceded in death by one son, Robert Sagace, four sisters, and four brothers.
Mr. Sagace owned and operated Pat’s Amusement Company for 40 years; he was also a business manager of the WV Forestry Camp for boys. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the Thomas Fire Department for over 40 years and a member of the Knights of Columbus Council 2010. He was also a member of the St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his wife and family, going to the Senior Center, and watching sports.
Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Tuesday, August 16, 2016 from 2-8 p.m. with a prayer service held at 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial was held 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church with Father Timothy Grassi as celebrant. Interment followed in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
