Paul Keith Winters, 81, of Eglon, West Virginia, passed away June 16, 2019 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. He was born April 7, 1938 in Elkins, West Virginia, a son of the late William Paul and Leila Loretta Selders Winters.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Rosalie Winters whom he married in 1992. Also surviving is one son, Richard “Rick” Winters, Eglon, West Virginia, two stepsons, Matt (Danyelle) Schoonmaker, Bridgeport, West Virginia, Mark Schoonmaker and companion Ann Rooney, Salt Lake City, Utah, one daughter, Terri Lynn Winters and friend, Kim Sisler, Jane Lew, West Virginia, and one stepdaughter, Stephanie (Allan) Dumire, Morgantown, West Virginia, one brother, James “Bud” Winters and companion, Almeda Lipscomb, Aurora, West Virginia, brother-in-law, John (Connie) Snyder, Mt. Storm, West Virginia, six sisters-in-law, Gussie Wilson, Manassas, Virginia Linda (George) Mierisch, Centerville, Virginia, Joyce Donofrio, Fairmont, West Virginia, Marion (Jim) Browning, Grafton, West Virginia, Karen (Steve) Hamner, Bel Alton, Maryland, and Sharon Biasotti, Virginia Beach, Virginia, ten grandchildren, 1st SGT. Ryan Winters, Sarah Long, Shari Winters, Brandon McWilliams, Hannah, Bethany, and Zach Evans, Tyler Lambert, Eddie Schoonmaker, Kaiden Schoonmaker, and Dylan Dumire, seven great-grandchildren, one nephew, Tim Winters, one niece, Ellen Cobb, and a host of step nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one sister-in-law, Dorothy Winters and one stepdaughter, Christina Evans.
Mr. Winters was a graduate of Aurora High School in 1956 and worked as a supervisor for Aurora Dept. of Highways. He was a member of the St. John’s Lutheran Church in Red House, Maryland. He formerly served on the Church Council. He was a member of the Farmer’s Wildlife Club. He enjoyed farming and gardening. He was an avid WVU Sports fan. He loved spending time with family and friends.

Friends were received at Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 19, from 2 – 7:45 p.m. with a celebration of life being conducted at 7:45 p.m. with Rev. Michael Wright officiating. After services were conducted, Mr. Winter’s wishes were honored and he was cremated. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home was entrusted with the arrangements.
