Philip Clinton Wimer, age 38 years, a resident of Parsons, WV departed this life Thursday evening, August 29, 2019 at Ruby Memorial Hospital at Morgantown, WV, surrounded by his loving family and under the care of WV Caring. He had been in declining health for the past ten months.
He was born Friday, November 21, 1980 at Elkins, WV, the son of Curtis Glenn and Sharon Smallwood Wimer.
Surviving are one brother, Paul Glenn Wimer of Mt. Zion; one nephew, Robby Shupp; one niece, Regan Wimer.
He was a graduate of Tucker County High School with the Class of 2000. He was a member of the FFA. He enjoyed riding his bike, playing basketball, listening to country music, taking pictures and watching old TV shows and game shows. He loved spending time with his niece and nephew.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m.. Final rites were conducted at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 11 a.m. The Reverend James Snyder officiated, and interment followed at the Parsons City Cemetery at Parsons, WV. The family suggest that expressions of sympathy be in the form of contributions to the WV FFA Foundation, c/o Don Michael, Treasurer, 860 Bar Run Road, Ravenswood, WV 26164.
