Phra Elwyn Paugh, 78, formerly of Benbush, W.Va. peacefully went to be with his Lord on August 3, 2013 at his home in Eglon, W.Va.  He was born April 10, 1935 a son of the late Isaac Ogden and Edith Lenora Roy Paugh. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Betty Teter Paugh, one daughter, Cindy (Jim) Atzenhofer, Oakland, Md., one son, Chip (Vicky) Paugh, Eglon, W.Va., one grandson, Mathew (Elizabeth) Paugh, one granddaughter, Casey Schroyer, three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceding him in death was one brother, Elwood Paugh and two sisters, Delores Wotring and Marlene Paugh.
Mr. Paugh was employed in the concrete construction business. He was a longtime and faithful member of Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church of Oakland, Md.
Friends were received Monday, August 5, 2013 at Hinkle Funeral Home from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. with a second viewing held August 5, 2013 at Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church from 5-8 p.m. Funeral services were held 11 a.m., August 6, 2013 at Mountain Lake Independent Baptist Church with Reverend Dennis Leatherman officiating. Interment followed in Eglon Community Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Beacon of Truth Baptist Ministries or Burmese New Testament Project. 1005 Broadford Road, Oakland, MD 21550.
