Rebecca “Becky” Ann Woods

Rebecca “Becky” Ann Woods, 61, of Stafford, VA, passed away peacefully on July 30, 2025, in Thomas, WV. Born on December 4, 1963, in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Donald Woods and Betty (Shepard) Woods, who survives.

Becky, a Woodbridge Senior High School alumna, dedicated 36 years to the Stafford County School System as a cafeteria manager until her retirement. She found joy in tending her garden, creating a vibrant space that reflected her care and cherished moments with her family, filled with warmth and connection. Becky had a contagious laugh and a smile that could light up a room. She was deeply loved by so many people and is survived by her mother, Betty Woods; three children, Chanel Payne and husband Thomas, of Fredericksburg, VA, Timmothy Jones and wife April, of Eglon, WV, and Amy Butler and husband Matthew, of Valparaiso, FL; grandchildren, Avery Payne, William Jones, David Jones, Elizabeth Jones, and Damon Butler; and siblings, Donald Woods, of Wiley Ford, WV, Pamela Ball and husband Brian Ball, of Morgantown, WV, and Mary Woods, of Thomas, WV.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Margaret Woods.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, at the Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes – Davis Chapel, from 11 AM to 12 PM. A funeral service will be held in the chapel at 12 PM with Pastor Mary Sanders officiating. Interment will follow immediately at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Thomas.

The Fredlock & Fenner Funeral Homes – Davis Chapel is honored to be serving the Woods family at this time.
