Rev. Elijah Stephen Lawrence

Rev. Elijah Stephen Lawrence, 90, of Dryfork, West Virginia passed away February 3, 2019 at Cortland Acres in Thomas, West Virginia. He was born November 18, 1928 in Lanesville, West Virginia a son of the late Victor Dewey and Eda Kathern Collins Lawrence. He was preceded in death by one son, Donald Lawrence, two brothers, Blake and John Lawrence, and one sister, Juanita Lawrence.


He is survived by three sons, Stephen Lawrence, Hampstead, Maryland, Douglas (Lisa) Lawrence, Dryfork, West Virginia, Richard Lawrence, Hagerstown, Maryland, two brothers, Tom McClave, Hulmeville, Pennsylvania, Tyrone McClave, and one sister, Sandy Huffman, Bristol, Pennsylvania. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rev. Lawrence served in the United States Air Force as a mechanic. He worked as a Foreman Plumber in Maryland until his retirement. He was an Evangelist and traveled to numerous churches over the years of all denominations. He enjoyed going out to eat and he loved visiting with his family and friends.

At the request of Rev. Lawrence, he will be cremated. There have been no services scheduled at this time. Hinkle-Fenner Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements. Condolences can be made to the family at www.hinklefennerfuneralhome.com
