He also participated in many mission trips and volunteer opportunities in his community and beyond. Robert was often found working diligently in the background, preferring to remain behind the scenes. Robert looked forward to turkey and deer hunting and helping on the family farm back home in Sugarlands, WV. He loved this time of connection with family and friends. He enjoyed sharing his craft of apple butter and salsa making with others. Robert and Jeannie enjoyed traveling together and were blessed to take several “trips of a lifetime,” including to the Grand Canyon, Europe, and Isreal. They also spent many weekends camping with their family. He was a world-renowned s’mores maker. Robert loved the Lord and sought His audience every morning. He started his day on his knees in prayer, praying faithfully for his family, friends and all those around him. He studied his Bible daily, meditating on Scripture and studying the commentary. Robert’s heartfelt desire would be for anyone learning of his passing to hear the message of God’s love for each of us and desire to be in relationship with Him.
