Robert A. Thomas of LaPlata, Md. went to be with Jesus on Thursday, Nov 6, 2014.

Born August 27, 1954, he was the son of the late Leonard N. Thomas. He is survived by his mother, Dora Popish Thomas, his brother Gary “Ted” Thomas of Davis, his sisters Robin Liebersohn of Baltimore Md, Karen Donaldson of Baker Fl, Sharon Patterson of Shalimar Fl and Jennifer Powell of Panama City Fl as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

Robert graduated from Northwestern High School in Adelphi Md. in 1972 and served in the US Army stationed in Germany. He served 37 years with the US Government retiring from the U S Bureau of Engraving. After retiring Robert opened his own business, Thomas Machine Shop, where he manufactured custom motorcycle parts. Robert loved riding his Harley Davidson and was a member of the Harley Owners Group. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Research Center.

Services were held in LaPlata Sunday November 9 and interment followed in Davis Cemetery Monday November 10.
