RUBY CHRISTINE CARR KENNY, age 87 years, a resident of the Elk Community, Tucker County, WV, and more recently a resident of Keyser, WV, departed this life Saturday morning, May 9, 2015 at the Heartland of Keyser. She had been in declining health.
She was born Tuesday, May 24, 1927 at Elk, Tucker Co., WV, a daughter of the late Webb and Millie Margaret Miller Carr. She was formerly married to Charles Kenny, who survives at Baltimore, MD.
Surviving are one brother, Donald Carr and wife Sara of Parsons; six sisters, Donna Arnold and husband John of Keyser, Marie McDaniel and husband Ike of Baltimore, Pearl Fields of Kentucky, Mary Etzler and husband Robert of Myrtle Beach, SC, Paula Sagal of OK, and Patsy Lambert and husband David of FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death are two brothers, Robert Carr and Kelley Carr; and three sisters, Helen Johnson, Geraldine Fisher and Bonnie Carr.
She attended the two room school at Mill Run. She was formerly employed in the Graphic Arts Industry in Baltimore, MD. She attended Brights Chapel Church and Keyser Church of God. Ruby enjoyed making ceramics and playing Bingo.
The family received friends at the Lohr & Barb Funeral Home of Parsons on Tuesday from 5 to p.m.. Final rites will be conducted at the funeral home parlor on Wednesday, May 13, 2015 at 1 p.m.. The Rev. Larry Idleman will officiate and interment will follow at the Brights Chapel Cemetery at Dry Fork, WV.
