Skyler R. Rubenstein, 19, Eglon, WV, died Monday, January 2, 2017, at Ruby Hospital, Morgantown, WV.

She was born December 29, 1997, at Camp Pendleton Naval Base, San Diego, CA., a daughter of Gabriel Rubenstein, CA and Shannon Furlong, WA. She enjoyed musical toys, books, ATV riding, tractor riding, music and dancing. Attended school as a senior at Preston High School, Kingwood, WV, and would have graduated this year. Skyler touched the hearts and lives of all who met and knew her and will be greatly missed by many. She was preceded in death by her loving grandmother Louann Poulus Slaubaugh. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her grandfather Mick Slaubaugh and wife Stephanie, grandmother Katherine Hippe and husband Dave, Uncle Jerry Slaubaugh, Uncle Chaz Lansberry and wife Tabby, Uncle Thomas Slaubaugh and Fiance Shauna, Uncle James Slaubaugh and wife Carrie, Uncle Danny Rubenstein and wife Mary, Aunt Andrienne Manning and husband Pete, Aunt Cindy Strawbridge and husband Dana, Aunt Julie Rinker and husband Hank, Aunt Bridgette Nix and husband Marvin, grandfather Frankie Rubenstein, grandparents James and Denise Shay, great-grandparents James and Betty Crosten, Aunt Britani Sebold, and siblings Sebastian and Christian, Lindsey and Jordan along with numerous other family, friends and caregivers.

Expressions of sympathy may be directed to the National Autism Association or Make A Wish Foundation. Memorial service will be held at a later date. Hinkle Funeral Home, Davis, WV is in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
