Thomas E. Brown, 83, of Tampa FL, loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather and uncle passed away on May 8, 2018, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s Disease. He was the son of Stark and Lena Johnson. Tom was born in Parsons, WV on September 6, 1934.


Tom graduated from Parsons High School in 1952. He was co-captain of the Parsons High football team and was named Honorable Mention to the 1951 Class AA football team. He attended Potomac State College, where he also played football. Tom retired from United Airlines after 45 years of service in Charleston, WV and Tampa, FL. While living in Charleston, Tom was a member of the Kanawha Valley Baseball Umpires Association and the Kanawha Valley Football Referees Association. He was preceded in death by his parents and his cherished daughter, Louann. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Pat; son, Steve of Charleston; grandchildren Adam of Clearwater, FL and Ashley Rebrook (Ian) of Charleston; great grandson Carson Rebrook; niece and nephews. Plans are being made for a Memorial Service for Tom in Charleston, that will be announced, at a later date.
