Vivian “Nancy” Montgomery, 87, of Davis, WV passed away October 20, 2017 at Garrett Regional Medical Center. She was born December 14, 1929 in Dryfork, WV a daughter of the late James Arthur and Rosie Ellen Lawrence Wilfong.


She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Montgomery in 1995, also preceding her in death, one daughter, Patty Montgomery, two brothers, James (Buck) Wilfong and Henry Wilfong and one great- grandchild. She is survived by one son; Charles D. McClaskey, Davis, WV, three daughters; Norma Lee Pratt, Mt. Solen, VA, Judy Watts, Eglon, WV, and Rose (Matt) Buck, Davis, WV, two brothers; Carl Wilfong, Harman, WV and Clarence Wilfong, Davis, WV, four sisters; Vivetta Pennington, Baltimore, MD, Lena Davis, Davis, WV, Doris Hamrick, Harman, WV and Margaret Harper, Hendricks, WV, eight grandchildren; Leona Snellings, Roberta Alman, Richard E. Pratt Jr., Yvonne Will, Ashley Watts, Scott Montgomery, Bernadine Buck and James Lowery, 15 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Montgomery worked for Baltimore Box Company for over 41 years. She enjoyed watching the TV evangelists, Joyce Meyer and John Hagee. She loved listening to any kind of music, and traveling with her family.

Friends were received at Hinkle Funeral Home, Monday, October 23, from 4-8 p.m. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 24 at Hinkle Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ryan Miller officiating. Interment followed in Pennington Cemetery. Hinkle Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.hinklefuneralhome.com
