Williard Joe Chenoweth

Williard Joe Chenoweth, 80, a former resident of Parsons and more recently a resident of Mountain Memories in Elkins, passed from this life Saturday, August 9, 2025, at the assisted living facility.

Joe was born on Saturday, January 6, 1945, in Elkins, a son of the late Willard O. Chenoweth and Betty Jo Row Chenoweth.

Left to cherish Joe’s memory is a son, Marc Chenoweth and wife, Kerri, a sister, Cathy Sue Wingler, five brothers, Allen Chenoweth and wife, Debbie, Gary Chenoweth and wife, Marsha, Michael Chenoweth, Jeff Chenoweth and wife, Julie, and Kevin Chenoweth, and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding Joe in death besides his parents was a daughter, Rebecca Ann Chenoweth, a brother, Terry Chenoweth, a sister, Nancy Rogers, a stepmother, Adeline Paugh, and a sister-in-law, Susie Chenoweth.

Joe graduated from Belington High School in 1962. He served in Germany with the US Army from 1963 to 1966 achieving the rank of Sp5. He was employed with the Department of Highways as a Senior Engineering Technician for thirty-eight years. Joe was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Parsons.

Joe’s request for cremation was honored. A graveside service will be held at Parsons City Cemetery on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 11AM with Rev. James Snyder officiating. The Hostetler Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements for Williard Joe Chenoweth. Send online condolences to the family at www.hostetlerfuneralhome.com.
