Wilma Mildred Bland Nelson

Wilma Mildred Bland Nelson, age 96, of Riverside, Ohio passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2020 at her home.  She was born in Riverton, WV, on May 7, 1924, the daughter of the late Curtis and Grace Warner Bland.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herbert G. Nelson; son, Gregg Allen Nelson; and her siblings, Katheryn Sponaugle, Wanda Nelson, Roy and Marshall Bland, Eva Thompson and Rebecca Bible.

Wilma is survived by her sons, Leo Nelson and Thomas Nelson; sister, Shirley Bland; five grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

She lived and worked for many years in Davis, WV, where she was a member of the Rebekahs. She was well known for her cooking skills, a loving mother and her devotion to her family and will be sorely missed.

Following her wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes will be scattered in the North Fork Cemetery at Riverton, WV, where her husband, mother, father and son are buried.
