Dear Editor,
While America has become more and more advanced technologically and medically, it seems some citizens have become less and less wise. Our founding fathers, men of faith and wisdom, wrote our constitution with a free, educated and faith based citizenry in mind. For the first 140 years we were self-sufficient and blessed by God, but then came an Income Tax that exacted wealth from citizens to be redistributed by government, followed by the Social Security Act, encouraging dependency on this overreaching government. Both are unconstitutional.
This all powerful government, less that 50 years later, decided God was not welcome in our schools and 10 years after that decided that an unborn child has no constitutional rights and the murder of this unborn citizen was made legal. About 50 years later our children are now being taught that there is no difference between human beings and animals by endorsing the religion of evolution. They are taught boys can be girls and vice versa.
They are encouraged to covet another person’s wealth or accomplishments and to feel entitled to what our forefathers paid a significant price of life and property to give them; theopportunity to achieve a life of liberty with hard work and love and respect for a holy God and His Son, Jesus Christ.
The founders of this nation knew you could never legislate morality, but with a culture saturated with the truth of the consequences beyond this world by God’s judgment on unrighteous men and women, society itself would thrive in justice and liberty for all. Our neglect of our children’s spiritual nourishment has led to the chaos and tragedy we see today in groups like Antifa and gun violence in our schools.
In today’s society I would not want to go into a big city without a firearm. Telling me I can’t have the most advanced weapon to defend my life tells me you don’t value my life. My liberty is determined by how my life is protected from the evil people who have no regard for God, laws or anything else. Citizens of America don’t realize the rights given us in our constitution keep us free. When we give up any rights given us by God, we give up our freedom. I pray our citizens vote for representatives who value our constitution and revere the God who inspired those men who gave us the greatest nation on earth.
