This letter is an appeal related to the current COVID-19 pandemic as it affects Tucker County. I have a home and other property in Davis and have discussed this matter with quite a few full time residents, as well as property owners and property managers. My conclusion was that, in addition to myself, many residents are concerned about visitors to the County.
Please accept my petition to implement a county policy or other regulation thatwould control entry into the county, or alternatively, its primary vacation destinations. Similarly to the policy recently implemented by Dare County, North Carolina and documented on the county web site, we would like to see full time residents, property owners and personnel of essential businesses exempted, while visitors from other jurisdictions would be turned away from the area.
