It seems to get worse and worse with these people abusing children. Now in the news is a 30 year old man that left four children ages four to thirteen in a home alone with no electric, no heat other than the burners on the cook stove for heat and no food. Momma Said, “He looked pretty plump in the mug shot maybe he needs to go without food for a while and see how he likes it.”
I just cannot fathom what these people are thinking when they abuse children like this. I am sure while he was out he stuffed his face if he was hungry. I wish I could be the one to hand out the sentence for these creeps. I am sure they would think twice before they ever abused a child again.
I was raised in an age when punishment was not limited to a TIME OUT, ha-ha. My mom did not spare the rod and spoil the child, I am sure in our time of growing up she wore out more than one rod. That punishment hurt at the time but it made you think about doing wrong again. We were not beaten up but we got punished. We did not have participation trophies if we lost we sucked it up and tried harder the next time.
I don’t believe in beating a child to get your point across but this day and age the people I read about in the news are not punishing these children for doing something wrong, they just seem like they don’t care for them one way or the other. There are loving families out there that would give these kids a chance at a wonderful life. If these idiots don’t want these children then take them someplace and just give them up to authorities. I know there is more to it than that but it would be better to give them a chance at life instead of no life at all.
Two Ingredient Bagels
Ingredients
Bagel Dough
- 3 ½ cups self-rising flour
- 2 cups Greek yogurt
Optional Toppings
- Egg Wash
- 4 tablespoons sesame seeds , poppy seeds or Everything Bagel topping
Instructions
To Make the Bagels
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C), set a large pot of water to boil and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and yogurt and knead together to form a dough. (If the dough seems very dry and won’t come together, you can add more yogurt, 1 tablespoon at a time, until it does.)
- Divide the dough into 6 equal portions.
- For each piece of dough, first roll it into a tight ball on a work surface (use a small amount of flour if needed), then pat the ball of dough into a flattened disc, about 3-inches.
- Using a 1-inch cookie cutter, cut a hole in the center. Repeat with the remaining balls of dough.
- Depending on the size of your pot, put about 3 bagels at a time in the boiling water and cook for 30-40 seconds per side and then transfer them to the prepared baking sheet.
To Top and Bake the Bagels
- If you want to top the bagels, first brush all over with egg wash, then sprinkle with your desired topping.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden. Serve warm or room temperature.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
