I gave both dogs a bath this past weekend and it looks like a fur bomb exploded in my house. How can animals lose that much hair and still be covered in it? I have brushed and brushed and it is still coming out by the handful. Momma Said, “What is worse a dirty, stinky dog or a houseful of hair? You guessed it I will be sweeping up hair, at least it doesn’t stink.”
They are so happy to get a bath they look like they are smiling when they are clean. I guess I wouldn’t be happy to go that long without a bath. I can’t stand to go one day and I hate when the weather gets bad and I can’t bathe them regularly When I win the lottery, I will build a doggy spa so I can pamper them more.
I guess everyone would like that. I went to a spa once and got the full package. It was amazing and everyone should experience it at least once. I was a noodle when they got done with me. That is what life should be like, a massage every day to get rid of all the stress. I don’t know if I could handle it that would be something to get used to though.
I give the dogs a massage sometimes and they really seem to enjoy it. Bailey has arthritis so bad that I hope it makes her feel better. Amber is just like a puppy when you rub their tummy. She turns into a puddle. Momma Said, “When life gives you lemons, massage them into lemonade.”
Sundried Tomato, Spinach, and Cheese Stuffed Chicken
- Two large chicken breasts
- 3/4 cup Kraft Sun Dried Tomato Vinaigrette Dressing & Marinade(salt and pepper and olive oil would also work fine)
- 1/2 cup sundried tomatoes
- 1/2 cup roughly chopped spinach
- 1/2 cup feta cheese
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
With a large sharp knife, carefully butterfly cut the chicken breasts. Don’t cut all the way through. Marinate the chicken breasts in the dressing for a few hours.
Open the chicken breasts up where you cut them and layer on the remaining ingredients. It is okay if you can’t fit all of it in, you can just leave some out. Just squish in as much as you can. Stick a couple of toothpicks in near the opening to keep it all together.
Heat up a pan and sear the meat on both sides. You can lower the heat and continue cooking the meat on the stove until it’s done or, if you’re using an oven safe skillet, you can put the pan in the oven at about 375ºF. You could also just completely cook it in the oven on a baking sheet if you don’t feel like searing it. Just make sure you cook it until the center reaches 165ºF on a thermometer.
