Friendship is something I treasure. If asked for help a true friend doesn’t ask why they ask when and where do you need me. But a friendship that is taken advantage of is something I cannot abide. I will help anyone any way I can and that is something that was ingrained in me by my mother and grandmother. I try to help people who cannot do a physical task and if I have the ability I will get the job done.
I have recently gone through a situation with someone whom I thought was my friend. After 17 years of helping this person anyway I could I feel I have to end our friendship. Things have come to my attention that I cannot put aside. It is a complicated situation that I do not want to be involved with. Momma Said, “If it walks like a duck and quacks like a duck it is a duck.” Don’t tell me your version of the truth when I know what the truth really is.
I have overlooked a lot of things this person has done over the years but I continue to do work and help out when I can. But when you lie to me and tell me you can’t afford to buy food and I carry groceries into your home, then I find out where the money is really going it makes me mad. And on top of that to have animals that are being neglected is outrageous. Momma Said, “Lie to me once shame on you, lie to me twice shame on me.”
It will take a lot of work off my shoulders but to think those poor animals are being neglected is something that will haunt me. I go through a lot for my friends, but when I am lied to I will not stand for it. I am at a stage in my life that I do not need unwanted drama and I can cut it out of my life very quickly. Momma Said, “You Go Girl!”
