This will be a wrap for the year. Next time I write will be from another decade. 2020, it is hard to wrap my head around that I have lived to see this. I never dreamed when I was a kid that I would actually be here in this space and time. I know that I have readers older than myself and I would guess this is as hard to believe for them as well.
I wish Mom could be here to see this milestone. I look back and 1957 seems to have happened just yesterday. Maybe I went through a time warp and it really was just yesterday. It is hard to believe that this coming year will be the 20th anniversary of Mom’s passing. She lived to see the new millennium come in and that marked a great moment for her. Momma Said, “Always ring in the new because you can never know when it will be your last.” Unfortunately for her, it was.
I wish everyone has a great Christmas and safe travels for those on the highways and in the skyways. My wish for everyone is to enjoy this time with families and have peace and harmony in your lives. The days will start getting longer as of Dec. 21 and it couldn’t happen fast enough for me. So that will give everyone more daylight for Christmas.
I hope everyone remembers the reason for the season and don’t forget to give thanks to Jesus for his sacrifice. Be a little kinder, a little more generous and a lot more loving. Momma Said, “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.” See you all next year.
