I don’t usually get too much into politics but this is very much in the forefront today. President Biden has meeting with Vladimir Putin of Russia and I have some observations that I would like to share. Putin is the leader of a very powerful country and I would like to compare him to our last four presidents.
Go on the web and Google Vladimir Putin, paying close attention to his pictures. He has not changed his appearance since back when Clinton was in office. That was 28 years ago and the man has not changed one bit. Clinton looks very old, George W. Bush is still painting landscapes, Obama has gray hair and still looks like Howdy Doody, Trump looks like 40 miles of bad road, and looking at Biden, we are not sure if he is even alive.
Putin has a black belt in karate, (Bill Clinton plays the saxophone), has driven a formula one race car, (Our presidents are driven around by the Secret Service), is a very avid outdoorsman, (Vice-President Dick Cheney shot a man while quail hunting), met with the Pope numerous times, loves to have photos of himself with his shirt off, (imagine Trump shirtless), likes animals and popcorn, (Trump was seen numerous times shoving Big Macks in his face), he flies in a super-sonic bomber, leads a powerful nation but you never hear anything from him, (Our presidents can’t shut up), and the man drives a tank for goodness sake.
Our leaders have to have their face on TV all the time, talking about everything our military is doing, how bad off our country is, what a state of depression our finances are in and I think they just need to SHUT UP! Think back on our last four presidents and try to think of something of significance any of them did. I am proud of my country and at the same time I am embarrassed of how far we have fallen.
I think my recipe this week should be a big slice of Humble Pie because we are a nation divided into so many segments that the purpose of The United States has been lost and forgotten. My flag hangs low on this time in America’s history. Young people in today’s society do not understand the significance of Independence Day, the lives that have been sacrificed for them to have freedom of speech and expression. Today they think they are entitled to everything at the drop of a hat.
If war broke out right now and we had to defend ourselves on our own soil we would be defeated in less than a week. Our military and all law enforcement agencies have been so browbeaten in front of the public that all of them are afraid to defend anything. If they do this it is racial discrimination, if they do something else it is called murder. Momma Said, “Law enforcement does not know what to do, uphold the law or just poke themselves in the eye with a stick.” All of this is my observations and does not reflect on The Parsons Advocate in any way.
