This is an advertisement for W. E. Weimer Coal and Wood located in Davis. Mr. Weimer came to Davis in 1885 looking for a better opportunity than farming. His first job was working for John Raese driving a team to haul logs. He then went on the clerking in various stores. He ended the clerking business in the Thompson & Wilson Store. In 1901, he went into his business for himself. He served on the city council and was the mayor for a term. He sold wagons, was a contractor, sold ice, and engaged in draying-hauling goods.
