This is a valentine I received in 1972. Many people will remember decorating shoeboxes with construction paper or other materials to receive valentines from classmates. I remember opening the new box of valentines and addressing the envelopes to classmates. As I remember, there was always one valentine designed for the teacher. We would bring in the addressed envelopes and drop them into the classmates decorated shoeboxes. At some point towards the end of the day everyone would get their shoebox and open the envelopes. We had a party after opening the envelopes and thanking classmates. Ideas, comments, suggestions, or items to share contact Tim Turner (304) 478-3389.
