This is a picture of Robert “Bob” Teter. He was the son of John Adam and Emily Jane Harman Teter.

His brothers and sisters include: Lille Frost (married Adam Harper), Anna May (married Henry Carr), Ira Franklin (married Celestine Bonner), Twins Melissa and Kenneth died in infancy. Robert married Floda Smith on March 12, 1903 at the Methodist Church at Red Creek. She was the daughter of Isaac and Clorinda Carr Smith of Red Creek. The Smith and Teter families lived close by and attended the Mount View School. Sometimes they would walk the two miles to Flanagan Hill School for Spelling Bee’s and other events. Robert and Floda started housekeeping at Lanesville where he worked as a carpenter. They lived at Etam for four years while Robert worked as a blacksmith.
