This photo is a Tucker County School bus unloading students at Davis High School.
The photo was taken sometime during the 1936-37 school year. The girl standing by the bus is Irene Cooper from Harman. At the time, Harman School only offered three years of high school and if a student wanted to finish the fourth year they had to go to a larger area. Most often, the students would board with a family in the school attendance area. Once a bus was running through the valley, Harman students would get picked up at the county line and transported to Davis. There are two horns mounted to the top left side of the bus.
