This is a photo of Arthur Dewitt Strickler (1855-1930). He was the son of Isaac and Margaret Jarvis Strickler. He was married to Kate Rosalie McClaskey (1858 to 1927); she was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. McClaskey of Philippi. They moved to Parsons in August 1901. Mr. and Mrs. Strickler were married February 20, 1884. They had one child, Robert, born in 1885. After Mrs. Strickler passed, her husband chose to stay in Parsons. He died at the home of Mrs. Rosa Lipscomb Sunday morning, November 16, 1930. He had been a long-time treasurer of the Baptist Church in Parsons; holding that position until his death.
