This week’s photo is of an unidentified lady. She could be related to the Dilly or Dye Families.
In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I would like to thank the many readers who let me know how much they enjoy the column. It is truly a blessing for us that we can share what we have with others. Also, thanks to those who have shared their photos.
To that end, I want to share a Thanksgiving poem my wife remembers from grade school: I heard Mr. Turkey say, “Gobble, Gobble, Gobble”. Soon will be Thanksgiving Day; Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. People say it is great fun; but I think I shall run and hide until the day is done; Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. Mr. Turkey tucked his head; Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. ‘Neath his feathers deep and red; Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. But they caught him by the wall, killed and ate him, wings and all and never more will turkey call Gobble, Gobble, Gobble. Ideas, comments or photo’s are very much appreciated Tim Turner (304) 478-3389.
