Last week’s photo was not identified. A daughter, Bertha, was accidentally left off the list of children of WIlliam and Elizabeth Knotts.
This week’s photo shows a home constructed in Davis for Fairfax Stuart Landstreet (1861-1931). He married Mary Davis in 1886; she was the niece of Senator Henry Gassaway Davis. Landstreet was involved in the Davis Electric Light Company which was chartered February 13, 1893 and this company provided the electric to the town of Davis. Landstreet was also a Director and General Manager of Davis Coal & Coke which was owned by Henry Gassaway Davis, Vice-President of the National Bank of Davis which was owned by Senator Davis, President of the Tucker County Bank of Parsons, Director of Senator Davis’ Coal & Coke Co.
