This week’s photo is of Olyn Meyrl Teter (1920-2015). He was the son of Edward and Flossie Wolford Teter. He had been married to: Elsie Cooper, Helen Rank, Lorraine Sandie. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving in World War II. He had been a farmer in Canaan. Olyn and Elsie moved into the house her grandfather built in 1883; the house was purchased by West Penn Power Company in 1960 for the proposed power dam. The dam never came to fruition; if it would have, there would have been a lot of land lost due to the flooding that would have taken place. Olyn and Elsie built a new home in 1962 and raised a son; Fredrick William, who attended and graduated from Berea College in Kentucky. Ideas or comments contact Tim Turner (304) 478-3389.
