International Honor Society Inducts 14 Eastern Students: The Beta Nu Lambda chapter of Phi Theta Kappa (PhTK) welcomed 14 Eastern WV Community and Technical College students into membership during the college’s Founders Day Award and Recognition Ceremony, March 22 at Moorefield’s South Branch Inn. PhTK, the international honor society for two-year colleges, recognizes and encourages its members’ academic achievement, and provides opportunities for individual growth and development through honors, leadership and service programming.

Acknowledging the college’s excitement and pride at the inductees’ achievement, Eastern President Dr. Charles ‘Chuck’ Terrell noted, “Many times, the community colleges are referenced as Democracy’s colleges, because the open door policy provides opportunity for everyone living in the communities we serve, and access to knowledge and education.”
