Moorefield, W.Va. — Eastern West Virginia Community and Technical College hosted its annual Job Fair, led by Career Counselor Dixie Heavener, on Wednesday, Nov. 5, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Even before the event officially began, job seekers were lining up outside Eastern’s main entrance, eager to make their next career move. The job fair drew a record turnout of attendees, including local job seekers and high school students exploring opportunities across the region.
Students were bused to Eastern from area high schools, including Petersburg, East Hardy, Union Educational Complex, and West Virginia Schools for the Deaf and Blind.
More than 45 employers participated, representing industries such as healthcare, education, construction, manufacturing, hospitality, and public service. Employers included:

Eastern’s next Job Fair is scheduled for Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026, and will again be open to the public.
